Tonight: Embryo Cornet x Kyra van Klapscheut tonight at www.horseman-auction.be
Oct 19, 2020
Kyra van Klapscheut, the dam of the embryo, belongs to one of the best performance lines in
Belgium. Kyra’s dam, Farah van Klapscheut, has been successfully demonstrating her
showjumping qualities at international tournaments since 2013 and achieved several results
at 1m60 level, which not only underlines her value, but also her hardness. Farah is a half-sister
to several showjumping cracks, such as Coriana (5*, Pilar Lucrecia Cordon), Blendy (Lennart
Van Vlaenderen), and Fenom van Klapscheut (3* and 4*, Eliza Lehrman). In addition to Kyra,
Farah also produced Indiana van Klapscheut. This daughter of Radco d’Houtveld achieved
great performances in international showjumping classes of 1m40 to 1m45 level. Last year,
Tina Lund and Indiana ranked for instance 2nd in the Abu Dhabi GP. In 2017, Koriano van
Klapscheut, also a member of this performance family, became world champion with the
seven-year-olds in Lanaken. When we interviewed Steven Van Rossem shortly afterwards, he
said: ‘The competition mentality is typical of the horses of our line. That is the strength of this
family. A fighting spirit. In the beginning, we sometimes have to fight it. Horses must have
some character to dare to jump high obstacles.
